Gerhard Vogt Chamber Music Competition 2022
for guitar and string quartet
or mandolin and string quartet
October 21 – 23, 2022, Schweinfurt, Tagungshotel Kolpinghaus
The competition will be held in the ensemble category of quintet or string quartet with guitar or mandolin with string quartet. Please note. The string quartet will NOT be provisioned!
There will be no separate scoring.
Any chamber music ensembles worldwide are eligible to participate. There is no age limit. Up to 12 ensembles will be admitted. Admission will be confirmed after receipt of the complete and correct registration documents and payment of the registration fee. Waiting list possible.

Prizes
A total of 40,000 euros are available.
- 1st prize € 20.000,–
- 2nd prize € 12.500,–
- 3rd prize € 7.500,–
- Special prizes up to a total of € 2,500,-

The entry fee will not be refunded, except in case of a cancellation of the competition.
Travel and accommodation expenses are to be paid by the applicants themselves.
Together with the payment of the entry fee and the entry form, the following must be submitted at the same time:
- Artistic biography (up to 500 characters)
- Reproducible photo, cleared of image rights
Incomplete applications or illegibly filled out application forms will not be considered.
The information submitted will remain with „Musikforum Schweinfurt e.V.“ and may be and may be stored there permanently for documentation purposes. Musikforum Schweinfurt e.V. has the right to use the submitted documents for the purpose of advertising and reports about the competition and the work of Musikforum Schweinfurt e.V. in all media. For this purpose, the participants grant Musikforum Schweinfurt e.V. the complete right of use without any additional reimbursement.

The decisions of the jury are final and do not need to be justified. The jury reserves the right not to award prizes or to divide them. The jury also reserves the right to cancel works or to hear only excerpts.
The competition is open to the public.
Schedule:
The schedule depends on the number of participants and will be announced after the registration deadline. If the competition is to be fully booked, the following schedule is planned:
Friday: 5:30 p.m. Drawing of the order of play
Saturday: all day preliminary round
Sunday: morning (possibly also until early afternoon) finals, end in the afternoon
